Unlock

Hidden: Purchase an Egg item from the Merchant in Biome 1 or 2, carry it to Biome 3 where it hatches automatically.

1. Step 1: Start any run (Warrior or Knight recommended for survivability).
2. Step 2: In Biome 1 or 2, visit The Merchant. Use the Dice to reroll shop inventory until the Egg (🥚) appears.
3. Step 3: Purchase the Egg. It occupies one of your item slots.
4. Step 4: Optional — place a Candle (if available) in the slot beneath the Egg to accelerate hatching.
5. Step 5: Survive until Biome 3. The Egg will hatch automatically at the start of Biome 3.
6. Step 6: The Lizard is now permanently unlocked as a playable character.

Lore

Nobody knows where it came from. The egg appeared one day near the dungeon entrance. Whatever is inside... it seems drawn to the Lost Sun.

Sun Power: Corner Dash

Instantly teleport to one of the four corner cells of the current grid (random corner). Bypasses row selection entirely.

• Shortest Sun Power cooldown (2 turns) — most frequent escape tool
• Corner cells are statistically safer on average than center cells
• Trap resistance talent provides passive survival buffer

Weaknesses

• Corner teleport is random — cannot choose which corner
• Hidden unlock method means many players never discover it
• Low HP requires careful Teeth selection

Tips

• The Lizard's unlock run is itself a challenge — use a tanky character to carry the Egg safely
• Corner cells tend to cluster specific encounter types — learn the pattern across biomes
• Stack Teeth that reduce trap spawn rates to synergize with Scaly Hide
